The plant has been replaced by a new production unit. Earlier this year Tajik Cement opened a 1.2Mta cement plant in Ismoili Somoni, Dushanbe, on a 35ha plot. The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the plant was held on 17 September 2019. |
Dushanbe cement plant shuts down29 December 2023, Published under Cement NewsThe Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Cementi Tojik (Tajik Cement), which operates the Dushanbe cement plant, has announced its closure and the cement plant was shut down on 26 December 2023, according to a report by Asia Plus Information Agency. The Government of Tajikistan issued an order on June 29 to shut down the Dushanbe cement plant as it causes serious air pollution in the capital city. |
Tajik Cement plans new 1.2Mta plant12 June 2019, Published under Cement NewsTajikistan’s Tajik Cement has signed an investment agreement for the construction and commissioning of a new 1.2Mta plant. The state-run producer is reportedly seeking US$100m in foreign direct investments for the project. The country produced 1.2Mt of cement in the Jan-Apr period of this year, rising 75,000t from the year-ago period. |
